Marzia Lanfranchi
Marzia Lanfranchi is a sustainability strategist working at the intersection of fashion and agriculture, with a focus on cotton. In 2017 she co-founded Cotton Diaries, an independent practice working to change how decisions get made in the cotton system.
She trained twice — in fashion and textiles design, and in organic agriculture and agroecology — and has worked across farming communities, luxury houses including Burberry, Balenciaga and Brioni, textile mills, and NGOs such as Textile Exchange, Transformers Foundation and Climate Farmers.
That range allows her to build the shared language and frameworks that enable brands, mills, NGOs, and farming communities to truly understand one another. Her aim is a relationship between fashion and farming that is more reciprocal, more legible, and worth telling. Ultimately, her mission is to contribute to more just and resilient fashion-farming systems.
